Bronx woman arrested for trying to smuggle drugs in Fishkill prison

FISHKILL – A Bronx woman was arrested after she allegedly tried to bring 18.3 grams of synthetic marijuana and 85 sublingual suboxone strips into Fishkill Correctional Facility.
The drugs were hidden in black balloons on Diana Guzman’s person on November 3.
Guzman, 48, was charged with introducing dangerous contraband into prison, criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies, and misdemeanors of drug possession and introducing contraband into prison.
She was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
