COLONIE – A Kingston man was committed to the Albany County Jail
in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or bond after he allegedly tried to meet
up with an 11-year-old girl to have sex.
Police allege that Jacob Styles, 25, had made arrangements to meet with
the child and was taken into custody on Friday, November 2after he traveled
to the Town of Colonie to meet her.
State Police charged Styles with felonies including attempted rape, attempted
criminal sexual act and possession of marijuana.
He was arrested following an investigation by State Police investigators
from the Latham and Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, FBI and Colonie Police.
