WHITE PLAINS – A suspended state corrections officer formerly assigned to the medium security women’s Taconic Correctional Facility in Bedford Hills, has pled guilty to promoting prison contraband and criminal sexual act, both as felonies.
Iran Colon, 31, is scheduled to be sentenced by Westchester County Court Judge Barry Warhit next month.
Colon was arrested last May in his Staten Island home on a 19-count indictment stemming from illegal activities involving an inmate between May 1, 2017 and September 23, 2017.
Two other employees were also arrested last spring.
