POUGHKEEPSIE – A 20-year-old
man who was shot in the City of Poughkeepsie early Monday morning has
died.
Jaquain Johnson was taken to MidHudson Regional Hospital for treatment
of a gunshot wound.
City Police said Johnson died on Tuesday afternoon. An autopsy conducted
by the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office determined he died
of a single gunshot wound to the chest.
Johnson was found wounded and lying in the middle of the westbound lanes
of the arterial highway.
