POUGHKEEPSIE – Police
Tuesday investigated a report of a Poughkeepsie Middle School student
possessing a weapon on school grounds during an after-school program.
The police Patrol Division and Detective Bureau investigated and conducted
several interviews in collaboration with school officials finding no credible
threat to anyone in the school.
In an abundance of caution, school officials and police conducted a thorough
search of the middle school to ensure no safety threats existed.
