CHAPPAQUA – Federal authorities
have intercepted a pipe bomb that was mailed to the Chappaqua residence
of Bill and Hillary Clinton. The device was said to be the same as one
sent to billionaire George Soros’ residence in Bedford.

There is also a report that former President Obama’s residence in
Washington, DC also received a suspicious package in the mail.

The FBI is investigating all three cases.

MTA Chairman Joseph Lhota said the agency, including Metro-North, are
on a heightened state of alert and he reminded everyone that if they see
something, they should say something and call their local police.

Westchester County Congresswoman Nita Lowey condemned “these attempted
attacks and are grateful that the packages were successfully intercepted.”

Congressman John Faso responded to the bomb discoveries. “Justice
will be served for those responsible for the attempted attacks against
President Obama, Secretary Clinton, and others. Actions like these run
counter to our core American values and serve to do nothing more than
divide and terrorize our country. I am grateful for the Secret Service
and local law enforcement who work tirelessly to keep our country safe.”
