Man charged with placing school gun threat call

WASHINGTONVILLE – A Salisbury Mills man is charged with falsely reporting an incident after he allegedly made a 911 phone call reporting there was a kid with a gun in Washingtonville High School.
Washingtonville and Blooming Grove Police converged on the school after the call was received at about 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16. The school was searched with no immediate threat or witnesses to the incident determined. A lockdown was rescinded and all after-school activities were returned to normal.
Video surveillance identified the suspect as Kevin Allen, 46, who was located at his home. In addition to the misdemeanor criminal charge, Washingtonville Court issued an order for him to stay off school grounds.
Police say no other people were involved.
