Sander
TOWN OF WALLKILL – A police officer in the towns of Mount Hope and Wallkill has been arrested by State Police and charged with felony identity theft.
Maxim Sander, 28, was also charged with scheme to defraud and petit larceny, both as misdemeanors. The investigation determined that Sander obtained merchandise and services using stolen credit card information.
He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Wallkill Town Court and released.
Police said additional arrests are expected.
State Police were assisted in the investigation by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
