HOPEWELL JUNCTION – The funeral service for retired New Rochelle
Police officer and 9/11 first responder Mark Gado was held on Saturday,
September 22 at St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction.
Gado, who died on Sunday, September 16, after a long illness, was 70 years
old.

He spent 29 years with the New Rochelle City Police Department and two
years as a federal agent with the Department of Drug Enforcement Administration.
Gado was a combat veteran of the Vietnam War and an author.
He is survived by his wife, Jill, his two sons and their wives, four grandchildren,
and his father, Rudy and his wife, Marilyn.
