Former assistant JV football coach charged sending lewd photos, soliciting sex from minors

MONROE – State Police arrested a former assistant football coach of the Monroe-Woodbury junior varsity football team.
Justin Kaffenberger, 23, of Monroe was charged with two counts of disseminating indecent materials to minors as felonies and two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child. The two victims were under the age of 17.
Kaffenberger was accused of sending naked pictures of himself to a 15-year-old girl and requesting that she perform sex acts on him.
Kaffenberger was sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $7,500 cash bail or $15,000 bond.
Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler said he is seeking the public’s help in the case, which will be presented to a grand jury. Anyone with information is asked to call the State Police at Monroe Bureau of Criminal Investigation at 845-782-8311.
