Monticello man arrested for burglarizing house under renovation

MONTICELLO – A Monticello man was arrested on Thursday on charges that he burglarized a house undergoing renovation in Monticello.
Nigdrew Reynolds, 25, was charged with felonies of burglary and grand larceny and a misdemeanor for resisting arrest.
At about 4 a.m. on August 26, he allegedly entered the house and stole tools valued at over $1,100. A surveillance system inside the residence recorded Reynolds committing the burglary.
Monticello Village Police arrested him when he was spotted on High Street. During the arrest, he struggled with officers and attempted to kick out the rear windows of a patrol car.
Reynolds is in the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
