NEWBURGH – The City of Newburgh could be the next Hudson Valley winner of a $10 million state Downtown Revitalization Initiative, Mayor Torrance Harvey said.
The City of Middletown was the first to receive such a state grant and the City of Kingston followed.  The winner of a third round is expected shortly and Newburgh’s mayor said he has been told Newburgh could be it.
Several other cities in the Mid-Hudson had also submitted applications
to be considered for the DRI, including Beacon, Poughkeepsie and Port
Jervis.
