CARMEL – A Putnam County Sheriff’s K-9 unit has been credited with locating a man wanted in connection with a violent domestic incident in Carmel.
Officers Deputy Vincent Dalo and Sergeant Timothy Keith, along with K-9 Lex, responded to a home in the Town of Carmel at 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 5 to assist local police with a man who had fled the scene of the domestic incident.
Dalo obtained an article of the man’s clothing, which was used as a scent for K-9 Alex. The dog located the trail left by the suspect and led the officers into a wooded area where the man was found lying in tall grass.  He was handcuffed and turned over to the Carmel Police Department.
