NEW WINDSOR – A home health aide at a New Windsor residence has
been arrested and charged with felony grand larceny in connection with
money stolen from a safe in the home. A total of $3,900 was taken.

On Wednesday, the resident reported money was stolen from her safe for
a second time. The first time, back in May, money was also removed.

New Windsor Police developed the home health aide, Brenda Doyle, 64, of
Middletown, as a suspect and when they questioned her, she made admissions
to stealing the money on several occasions including in May.

Officers were able to recover $1,900 at Doyle’s home.

She was arraigned and released to appear in town court at a later date.
