LIVINGSTON – Two Copake men were arrested and charged with felony criminal possession of stolen property in connection with $36,000 worth of heavy equipment.
Arrested on Wednesday were Thomas Puff, 47, and Jeremiah Simpson, 39.
The Bobcat 335 excavator and Cam Super Line trailer were reported stolen from the Town of Broome in Schoharie County. Investigation revealed the equipment had been hidden on rural property in Copake.
Both men were sent to the Columbia County Jail. Bail was set at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond for Puff and $20,000 cash or $40,000 bond for Simpson.
