RYE – Detectives in the City of Rye are investigating three attempted residential burglaries that occurred on the north end of the city on August 8. The attempts all occurred between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m.
One incident occurred on the north end of Forest Avenue at about 2:18 a.m. where a suspect attempted to open two doors to the residence and also entered two vehicles.
The second occurred at the east end of Grace Church Street at about 3:43 a.m. where the suspect attempted to open a door leading to an attached garage.
The third incident occurred at the west end of Grace Church Street at about 3:43 a.m. where the suspect tried to open a door at the rear of the residence and also entered the homeowner’s vehicle.
