SAUGERTIES – An 18-year-old Village of Saugerties man was arrested and charged with driving while ability impaired by alcohol after his car flipped over onto its roof.
Saugerties Police said the operator, whose name they did not make public, was driving on Scal Bo Road in the Town of Saugerties at around 3:25 a.m. on Friday, August 24 when he failed to negotiate the road due to excessive speed. The car crossed over the road and flipped over onto its roof.
The operator was not injured.
He was also charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to use designated lane and speed not reasonable or prudent. He was issued tickets and released to a third party.
