COLD SPRING – It is Christmas in August for the Cold Spring Village Police Department.  Putnam County Sheriff Robert Langley, Jr. has provided the agency with two patrol cameras for their vehicles.
The dash-cams will be networked to a server maintained and operated by the sheriff’s office.
Langley said the cameras “are an invaluable tool to law enforcement as they more often than not provide essential information of events leading up to the issuance of a simple traffic citation to criminal offenses.”
The sheriff said the cameras “have become a welcomed tool to law enforcement and we are more than happy to share services with other police agencies to make them batter at what they do for our community.”
