ROCK TAVERN – A Campbell Hall man was killed when his 1993 pick-up
truck crossed into the opposite direction of traffic on Route 207/Little
Britain Road, and struck another vehicle head-on.
The driver of the truck, Gerald Dembeck, 67, was pronounced dead at the
scene of the 11:22 Wednesday night crash.
The driver of the other vehicle, Eileen Brooks, 52, of New Windsor, was
in a 2012 Toyota Camry. She was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center
for injuries sustained throughout her whole body, police said.
New Windsor Ambulance responded to the scene along with the Vails Gate,
Maybrook and Washingtonville fire departments.
