KINGSTON – A Poughkeepsie man, who fled in a Porsche while being
chased by police on Route 299 in the Town of Lloyd, crashing into a pickup
truck near New Paltz, killing the driver, has been indicted by an Ulster
County grand jury on a murder charge.

Danielle Pecoraro, 29, died when her vehicle was struck by the car driven
by 29-year-old Ryan Williams.

He was indicted on charges of murder, depraved indifference to human life,
aggravated vehicular homicide, unlawful fleeing of a police officer, assault
and aggravated operation of a motor vehicle.

The indictment alleges William fled police at a high rate of speed while
highly intoxicated.

His license had been revoked for a prior alcohol related charge, and at
the time of this homicide, was driving without a valid license.

Two other individuals, Pecoraro’s daughter, and a woman in a car
behind the pickup truck, sustained serious injuries.
