New equipment designed for children of all abilities

NEW WINDSOR – The Town of New Windsor is in the process of constructing a state-of-the-art inclusive playground at Kristi Babcock Memorial Park.
Construction began several weeks ago on the complex that will be what the town said is the largest fully inclusive playground in the region for children of all abilities.
The project is funded through the town recreation fund, which consists of developers’ fees and costs taxpayers nothing.
“New Windsor is proud to be constructing an inclusive playground for children of all abilities to use,” said Town Supervisor George Green. “Our playground will be open for children and families to use very soon and we are excited that all children will have a place to play in New Windsor.”
In addition to the new playground, all existing playgrounds at the park are being relocated and upgraded to include inclusive play flooring.
