NEW WINDSOR – Richard Masloski,
the sculptor who crafted the Orange County Veterans Memorial in the City
of Newburgh, Abraham Lincoln in Peekskill, and the War Memorial in Wappinger,
among others, has died. He was 64 at the time of his death on July 26,
2018.
Masloski was a sculptor, a writer and composer of music. He strove to accurately capture the American experience in life size bronze statues.
His obituary states that although he sculpted many, the three mentioned above were dear to his heart.
