KINGSTON – The Poughkeepsie man whose 2008 Porsche rammed into
a pickup truck as he was fleeing from Lloyd Town Police on the evening
of July 1, killing the driver of the truck, has been charged with aggravated
vehicular homicide, manslaughter, unlawfully fleeing a police officer
and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

At 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Ryan Williams, 29, of Poughkeepsie failed to comply
with Lloyd Town Police officers who attempted to pull him over. He fled
westbound on Route 299 at a high rate of speed and as he approached the
intersection at South Street, he struck the side of a 2009 Ford. The Porsche
then crossed over into the opposite lane of travel and struck a 2018 Ford
pickup head-on. A 2016 Toyota then struck the rear of the Porsche.

Williams was taken to Westchester Medical Center in critical but stable
condition.

The pickup truck driver, Danielle Pecoraro, 39, was pronounced dead at
the scene.

Williams, who was also charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless
driving, was remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail pending a
future court appearance.
