Search for man missing in Hudson called off

POUGHKEEPSIE – The search
for Paul Moschitta, 49, of Poughkeepsie, who was last seen in the Hudson
River near Waryas Park in the City of Poughkeepsie last Tuesday, was called
off Sunday evening.
The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office said the search would be suspended pending further developments.
Since Tuesday, the search of the river off the city shoreline was conducted using various methods including aerial search by helicopters, surface searches by boats and underwater searches using sonar and police divers.
Over the six-day search, participating agencies included City of Poughkeepsie Police and Fire Departments, Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, Dutchess County Regional Underwater Search and Recovery Team, Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, State Police, State Park Police and the US Coast Guard.
