Orsino, front and center, introduced as chief

EAST FISHKILL – Matthew Orsino, a 17-year veteran of the East Fishkill Town Police Department is now the permanent police chief. The town board unanimously approved his appointment on Thursday.
Orsino, who previously held the rank of lieutenant, had been serving
as acting chief since the post became vacant with the recent retirement
of Chief Kevin Keefe.
“He started out as a police officer and made his way through detective sergeant and lieutenant and he was our interim chief for a little bit and it was a unanimous decision by our town board to make him chief,” said Town Supervisor Nicholas D’Allessandro.
Orsino has been a police officer for a total of 20 years.
