WESTTOWN – State Police are continuing to investigate a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident that occurred around 5 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2013.
Donald Wester, 86, was discovered by police seriously injured on the roadway on Orange County Route One in Westtown. He had been walking to his mailbox when he was struck by a passing motorist.
Wester was flown to Westchester Medical Center where he died from head trauma.
The investigation revealed Wester may have been struck by a silver or light-colored minivan. The vehicle may have damage to the passenger side.
