Three alarm fire rages in Port Jervis – Update!

PORT JERVIS – Firefighters from several departments in Orange and Sullivan
counties battled a three-alarm fire at 32 West Main Street.
The building is a single-family structure at Washington Avenue.
Deputy Fire Chief James Rohner said the damage was extensive. Two firefighters
were injured as they vented the roof when a flashover occurred. One was
taken to the hospital for treatment while the other sustained a minor
burn to his hand.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation by the Orange County Fire
Investigation Unit.
