POUGHKEEPSIE – The National
Aeronautics and Space Administration will send an astronaut to the Walkway
Over the Hudson to attend one of their Starwalk events. The NASA rep will
attend the September 7 event.
US Senator Charles Schumer urged the agency to send an astronaut to one of the events and on Tuesday he said one’s attendance “will help launch the Starwalk program into a new galaxy and will create an out-of-this-world experience for all those who participate.”
Starwalk is an astronomically themed program designed to be fun, educational and interactive for beginner and advanced stargazers.
