Two fires in two days in Town of New Paltz

TOWN OF NEW PALTZ – The New Paltz Fire Department responded to house fire at 35 Rocky Hill Rd Friday afternoon, finding a dwelling engulphed in flames. Fire crews remained on the scene for over three hours.
The occupant was not home at the time and there were no injuries to any firefighters.  
Cause of the fire is still under investigation.  
On Thursday July 5th the fire department responded to a reported lawnmower fire but found the blaze had spread to a shed and surrounding brush which was endangering another structure. Crews contained the flames and saved the structure.
