VILLAGE OF MONTGOMERY – The sweltering heat with temperatures in
the 90s took its toll on firefighters as they battled a six-alarm blaze
in three attached residences at 54-58 Union Street in the Village of Montgomery
on Saturday afternoon.
Union Street, the main thoroughfare in the village, is a continuation
of Route 211.

The six-alarm fire brought out several fire departments in the region.
It took firefighters some two hours to knock down the flames.

The cause is under investigation and there were no reports of injuries.
