TOWN OF NEWBURGH – Curaleaf New York has served over 1,000 patients in its new medical marijuana dispensary in the Town of Newburgh in the two months since it opened the doors.
An estimated 58,000 people in New York are eligible for the state’s medical marijuana program.
The health department’s program is open to those suffering from serious illnesses, including chronic pain, post-traumatic stress disorder, cancer and multiple sclerosis.
To obtain the treatments, patients must be enrolled in the program and have a recommendation from a medical practitioner.
The Curaleaf dispensary is managed by a New York licensed pharmacist with counselors on staff to help patients find the best treatments for their needs.
