ALBANY – The State Assembly gave final legislative approval on Thursday for the Town of Palm Tree to form next year, a year earlier than originally agreed upon.
The Senate approved the measure to accelerate the formation 10 days ago.
It’s up to Governor Cuomo to sign the bill into law, which he is expected to do.
The new town will combine the village with a portion of the Town of Monroe. Town residents voted late last year to approve the plan.
