NEWBURGH – State Police arrested a father and son, both from Newburgh, on charges of sexual abuse.
Jose Alfredo Enriquez-Sanchez, 29, was charged with two counts each of sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child following an investigation into the sexual abuse of two children, one under the age of 13 and the other under the age of 17. He was arraigned in Newburgh City Court and sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
During the same joint investigation by the State Police Troop F Orange County Child Abuse Unit, it was determined his father, Jose Alfredo Sanchez, 45, of the same address, allegedly abused another child under the age of 13. He was charged with two counts of sexual abuse and one count of endangering the welfare of a child and is held in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.
