ALBANY – A $65,000 grant to assist in the upgrade of the Windsor Estates wastewater treatment plant in Hamptonburgh has been secured by State Assemblyman James Skoufis.
Repairs and new filters will allow sewage to be properly treated so that the effluent from the plant complies with a State Department of Environmental Conservation mandate.
Windsor Estates is comprised of 49 homeowners, and this order would have had an outsized impact on a small community. The grant will reduce the taxpayer-funded burden of the project on the development’s residents, said Skoufis.
