KINGSTON – An analysis
of forensic evidence and autopsy reports has determined that Michael Colangelo,
31, of Huntington Station, was driving the rented Maserati that crashed
killing him and his buddy, John Martinez, 39, of Hauppauge. Colangelo
had married his fiancé just hours before.
Both men were NYPD cops who were killed when their car ran off the road
in the Town of Shandaken and rolled over. Neither man wore a seatbelt.
A rear seat passenger, was belted in and sustained injuries in the Sunday
night accident.
