Family lost everything

NEW FAIRFIELD, CT – A Brewster school teacher lost all her worldly possessions Saturday in a devastating fire that ravaged her family’s New Fairfield home.
Firefighters from Patterson, Putnam Lake and Brewster were summoned under an inter-state mutual aid system around 1 p.m. for a report of a working fire in the western Connecticut community. New Fairfield firefighters arriving on the scene to find the one-story wood frame dwelling fully engulfed.
Paula Flower, her husband Greg, and the couple’s four children escaped the inferno with only the clothing on their backs.
Flower is a special education teacher at the Henry Wells Middle School.
Family friend Peggy Fallon set up a GoFundMe page to help “Paula and her family get back on their feet. Any help given would be appreciated. If you prefer, please donate a Target or other gift card. I will help collect them and make sure they are received by Paula and her family,” said Fallon.
