Woman killed by fallen tree in Town of Newburgh was Ulster resident

TOWN OF NEWBURGH – Police identified the woman killed by a falling tree while at the Mount Saint Mary College Desmond Campus on Albany Post Road in the Town of Newburgh during Tuesday’s storm as a Rosendale resident.
Police said Lisa Resnick, 58, was alone in her vehicle around 5 p.m. when a tree fell on it, killing her.
Two other people were killed by falling trees during the storm.
Gina Garzon, 11, was helping her mother unload their car after shopping when a tree fell, killing the child in the City of Newburgh.
And an 80-year-old Chestnut Ridge woman was killed around the same time when a tree landed on her car as she drove on Red Schoolhouse Road in that village.
