Ferry docked at Newburgh

NEW YORK – In keeping with Newburgh City Manager Michael Ciaravino’s belief that the city is more than just a location across the Hudson from the Beacon Metro-North train station, the city will participate in the Metro-North Getaway Day Expo event at Grand Central Terminal, tomorrow, May 16.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Vanderbilt Hall.
“This is a great way for the City of Newburgh to showcase our businesses, events and attractions,” Ciaravino said. “There is something for everyone. We have great parks, museums, restaurants and shopping.”
The Metro-North Hudson Line runs along the east side of the river. The seasonal Newburgh-Beacon Ferry shuttles people from the Newburgh waterfront to the Beacon train station as an alternative to taking the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge.
