Housekeeper charged with stealing jewelry from KJ homes

MONROE – A Central Valley woman is charged with several counts
of felony grand larceny for allegedly stealing jewelry from several homes
in the Village of Kiryas Joel.
State Police arrested Maria Caudillo, 30, who had worked as a housekeeper in the village, on April 29. She was sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $30,000 cash bail or $60,000 bond.
State Police have identified several pieces of stolen jewelry and are asking residents of Kiryas Joel who had hired Caudillo to call them at 845-782-8497.
