Port Jervis man arrested on drug charges

PORT JERVIS – A Port Jervis man was arrested Thursday night following the execution of a no-knock search warrant at a second-floor apartment at 96 Franklin Street in the city.
Police Chief William Worden said Carlos Tirado, 31, of that address, was charged with felony drug possession with intent to sell and criminally using drug paraphernalia. A quantity of cocaine, a scale and packaging materials were recovered during the search. He was also charged with felony reckless endangerment, fleeing a police officer, reckless driving and several vehicle and traffic violations stemming from an April 16 incident in which he led police officers on a vehicle pursuit.
Tirado was sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
The Orange County District Attorney’s Office is prosecuting the case.
