Did not make it to the frying pan
STONY POINT – When a state EnCon officer was patroling along the Hudson River near the Iona Island bird sanctuary in Stony Point recenty, he spotted something fishy. One guy was carrying a large garbage bag and another had several fishing poles.
Off. Jeremy Fadden looked in the bag and discovered 18 illegally caught striped bass. Anglers are only allowed to take one of that species per day.
The men were ticketed for taking in excess of the daily limit, fishing without a license and taking undersized fish.
