Aid and Incentives for Municipalities funding approved in state budget

ALBANY – Aid to localities
in the just adopted 2018-19 state budget will provide millions to communities
in the Hudson Valley.

The Aid and Incentives for Municipalities funding for the cities in the
region remains the same as that which they received last year.

In Dutchess County, Beacon will receive $1.5 million while Poughkeepsie
will receive $4.2 million.

In Columbia County, Hudson will receive over $1.4 million.

In Orange County, Middletown will receive $2.7 million, Newburgh will
receive over $4.4 million and the City of Port Jervis will get $1.4 million.

In Ulster County, Kingston will receive $3 million.

In Westchester County, Mount Vernon will receive $7.1 million, New Rochelle
will get $6.1 million; Peekskill will get $2.2 million, Rye will receive
$1.2 million, White Plains will get over $5.4 million and Yonkers will
receive over $108 million.

Each municipality may spend the funding as local officials determine.
