Assault rifle used in Newburgh armed robbery

NEWBURGH – An armed robbery early Saturday involved two suspects armed with an assault rifle.
The incident around 5:30 a.m. occurred at William and South William Street in the City of Newburgh. A police radio report said the suspects were armed with an AK-47 rifle.
No further information was available.
