WAWAYANDA – The Riverkeeper
environmental organization urged the State Department of Environmental
Conservation to consider revoking or suspending the existing air state
facility permit for the CPV Valley Energy Center in Wawayanda based on
the agency’s ability to take action if a permittee or applicant
is “unsuitable.”
Riverkeeper believes that is the case given the charges against former CPV Vice President Peter Galbraith Kelly and former Cuomo aide Joseph Percoco for bribery.
Since the letter was written on March 9, a federal jury could not reach a verdict in the Kelly case and found Percoco guilty.
The letter was sent to DEC Commissioner Basil Seggos and Steve Flint, director of the DEC Division of Air Resources.
