MOUNTAINVILLE – Orange
County Land Trust has been awarded an $8,385 grant from the American Farmland
Trust to work with farmers and landowners in the county.
The funds will be used for workshops and training sessions in partnership
with the Chester Agricultural Center and the Ralph E. Ogden Foundation,
and fund the creation of new outreach materials that feature information
about farmland access, leasing, and conservation easements.
The American Farmland Trust has awarded a total of $88,000 to seven partner
organizations in the Hudson Valley Farmlink Network.
