STONY POINT – A local man was arrested and charged with assault for allegedly pushing a woman to the ground during a domestic argument causing minor abrasions to her hand.
A Stony Point Police officer on stationary patrol on Route 9W in the Town at 3 a.m. on Monday observed Winfil Germosen, 28, of Tomkins Cove allegedly push a woman while they argued.
Germosen was charged with misdemeanor assault, disorderly conduct and harassment. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to town court.
Police said the couple was not related.
