KINGSTON – The planned
redevelopment of Uptown Kingston is in the very early stages.

Announced just months ago by the Bonura family and partners, it is proposed
to include 130 residential units, a 32-room hotel, 8,000 square feet of
retail and commercial space and a 420-space parking garage, said project
leader Joseph Bonura, Jr.

“We have a lot of work to do in terms of due diligence to make sure
it is financially feasible, that it works for the town, we are fixing
traffic issues, so we are working through all of our due diligence. That
project is a couple of years away from construction, but we are really
excited about the early stages right now,” he said.
The project would be constructed on parcels where a former parking garage
was located and an adjacent commercial building.
