Interim city clerk named in New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE – A new interim
city clerk has been named in New Rochelle to replace retiring City Clerk
Bennie Giles, who served the city for over a decade.

Omar Small will remain in place until the appointment of a permanent city
clerk in the next few months.

Small is the deputy city manager/human resources director in the city.

Prior to joining the City of New Rochelle, Small worked at Monroe College
as the associate director of the Freshman Office, focusing on student
retention, program development, counseling and admissions.

He also served as the director of the career development program, “Family
Self-Sufficiency” for the New Rochelle Municipal Housing Authority.
