LIBERTY – An Industry,
Maine woman was arrested on March 1 by State Police from the Liberty barracks
and charged with felony criminal possession of marijuana.
Sylvie Whitaker, 24, was found in possession of some 12 ounces of pot
after she was stopped while driving on Skinners Falls Road in the Town
of Cochecton.
Police became suspicious when they detected a strong odor of marijuana
emanating from her vehicle.
Whitaker was committed to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
