ALBANY – The Town of Woodbury Senior Center will receive $5,000 in state funds for new furnishings.
The money was secured by Assemblyman James Skoufis (D, Woodbury), who said it will be used to purchase additional card tables, room partitions, stackable chairs and a new desk. He said the items will “enhance recreational activities as well as regular meetings at the senior center (and that) partitions will efficiently separate the room to maximize space.”
Rick Walls, senior center director, said with an increase in attendance, “the furnishings will be a welcome sight.”
This is the second grant Skoufis has secured for the Woodbury Senior Center. He previously acquired funding for a new microphone system that is used during the center’s regular meetings.”
